1/4/08 - Click here for information on the pine straw refresh for our neighborhood!

5/30/07 - With this drought and minimal watering, Byrd's has recommended that it would be best to wait until Monday or Tuesday to mow.  If they mow now, the grass will look dead or burned.  Instead, Byrd's will spend time this week trimming bushes in the common areas.

On a more hopeful note, weather stations are forecasting 'showers / t'storms' for Sunday through Tuesday.  Let's all keep our fingers crossed for this!  Get out there and do your 'rain dance'!!

FYI...A recent article in the Charlotte Observer noted that Mecklenburg County has requested voluntary conservation of water.

Cabarrus County has mandated that residents can water lawns only a maximum of twice a week.  Not that this applies to Falcon Ridge, but it does give us a measure to follow in our effort to conserve water!

5/23/07 - The Byrd's Group will be aerating our lawns in June.  You will be receiving a letter from Hawthorne Management with the exact details soon!

7/15/06 - Please be advised that we are aware of the irrigation problem on the right side of the entry way.  We have explored several options in an attempt to turn the irrigation off, but have not been able to accomplish this.  The Byrd's Group will be contacted first thing Monday morning.  Thank you for your patience.

5/29/06 - It's time to aerate our yards again!  The Byrd's Group will begin the aerating process on Wednesday, 6/21/06, pending weather conditions.  Prior to that date, please make sure that you flag your yard in order to prevent damage to irrigation heads, valve covers, or any other items in the lawn.

Additionally, please make sure that hoses, planters, or any other miscellaneous yard items are removed from the lawn, as the Association and the landscapers can not be responsible for any damage.

If you would like for The Byrd's Group to flag your lawn, please call them prior to 5:00pm on Thursday, 6/15, in order to be scheduled.  The cost is $50.00 and they will ensure your yard is flagged prior to the start of aeration.

5/18/06 - We have a new Landscape Committee Chairperson!  Cat Belteau has graciously volunteered to lead the committee.  Thanks Cat!
